They remodeled our master bedroom back in 1997. In the midst of a big storm they were still able to stay on track and make changes that we required after the storm took our roof. Great work and excellent quality. The 400 foot addition is still doing well with no issues.

My family and I are well satisfied with the bump out addition and basement project we contracted with Enerjac Construction to perform. Brian and Ken were easy to work with and helped us with designs that would work within our budget in order to add more space to our garage to home entry space. We also desired to move our laundry up from the basement. Additionally, we required two bedrooms added to our unfinished basement.

We truly appreciated all the hard work done by all involved in the project. As with any project there were some issues here and there but Brian was quick to let us know and then provide the solution. We appreciated that Brian was in good communication with us and was always professional. Thank you Tony and Jerry who did much of the work and a thank you too to all the subcontractors and crews.

We interviewed 5 contractors and went with Enerjac because we really felt like Brian and Ken seemed like nice, honest men. Yes, the one 5 star review they have is from Ken Cordes, an employee of enerjac, he was at our early design meetings. Many of the 5 star review on their other review pages are from subcontractors. After we signed the paperwork, everything changed. Emails stopped getting answered.

On over a dozen occasions I sent emails to Brian and he never responded. We drove to get an estimate on reclaimed wood, for 5 weeks I asked Brian for the numbers. Most emails he never responded to, when he did, he said the estimate never came. Finally, after emailing him a 5th time, he sent the estimate and said he needed my decision by the next morning to prevent a delay.

I informed him I waited 5 weeks for the estimate and couldn't give him a 12 hour turn around. He said he just got the estimate. I called the reclaimed supplier the next day and the estimate was prepared 4 weeks earlier, 3 days after we visited the showroom. Three times I asked for the difference in price between knock down and flat finish on the ceiling.

Twice via email and once in person. He didn't respond to the emails and never sent me a quote like he promised to in person. Finally, my husband called him to ask for a quote and Brian said it was "too late because our ceilings were being sprayed at 11 am today and changing the plan now would delay the timeline." If he had responded to my requests weeks earlier their would have been no delay.

So I got the ceiling I did not want. Three different times we had leaks into our basement from the work they did in the remodel, staining the ceiling in three rooms. Brian said they would fix it. He sent us an estimate for $4500 to redo the basement ceiling and took off $700 for the damage they caused. We had to pay $3800 to fix the damage they caused?

We didn't plan on new basement ceilings as part of the remodel. They caused the damage, they should repair it. If you are hoping for some good design ideas, don't count on it. On two occasions brian came over and said "I don't think we should go in this direction because it just won't look good." Then, when he couldn't come up with a better idea he would call and say "let's just go with the original plan." The plan he said didn't look good!

Then we had the issue of all of our trim work. They tossed the trim work we were going to reuse. So they ordered new stuff and had it stained, it didn't match at all, when I got home and saw it, I mentioned it to the subcontractor and he said "yeah, I pointed it out to brian and he said "it is far enough away from the window trim, it is fine"". The subcontractor agreed it looked terrible but brian told him to put it up.

So after them tossing our trim, I had to go out and redo the trim myself and have a custom color match. It is May, we asked Brian to have someone come out and clean up all of the nails in our yard from the addition that was done in February because our 5 kids play outside and we don't want them to get hurt, he said he would send someone. After waiting 3 weeks, we just went out and picked up all the nails and screws ourselves.

Over 500 of them. Our remodel was wrapping up during the Covid pandemic. We asked brian to limit subcontractors to one per day in our home. We didn't want plumbers and trim workers and masons in our house all at once, for their safety and the safety of our family. Brian agreed. The next week he must have forgot. We had multiple people show up to our house on the same day.

One week, we had no one scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and he said the trim work, electrician and tile setter were all coming on Thursday and they would all be in our kitchen. I have over a dozen other examples of how this was a horrible experience for us. We felt like we were spoken to in a condescending way in almost every interaction.
