Although the home we moved in to was no longer working for our family, we never wanted to tear it down and start over. Anchor Builders - and in particular, its design team - helped us achieve that, and we simply added another chapter to our original home's story. It was easy to work with Anchor for many reasons. Having an in-house designer who guided us along the way with our planning was extremely helpful.

We found Anchor Builders easy to work with from the bid phase though completion of our project, which included a complete remodel of our kitchen, dining room and basement. The work was completed on time and Barak, John, and their crews were all friendly and easy to have around the house. They did a great job separating the construction zone from the rest of the house (we lived in our home throughout the remodel).
When issues arose, as they always do, Anchor Builders handled them professionally and calmly, and always found a good solution. We loved having a project calendar to refer to on their website so we could check in and see what would be happening on any given day. Their work is meticulous and we really love the finished project. We couldn't be happier with the work that was done or our choice of contractor and highly recommend Anchor Builders to you.

We used Anchor Builders LLC to remodel our kitchen, dining and living room and entry. We love our new space. We loved working with them so much that a year after the first project was complete we worked with their design team and had them do a remodel of our main bathroom which we also love. Shortly thereafter we decided to remove our wood burning fireplace and cap the roof where the chimney had been.

We had a pleasure working with Anchor Builders two years ago. The company was recommended to us by another contractor whose company was a little too small for our second story addition project. We met with Barak once and knew instantly it was the right fit. Every person we dealt with at Anchor was very professional, from their office manager to their onsite crew and subs.
The communication was always clear, Barak and John were realistic with budget and schedule, never overpromised or underestimated. We were especially impressed with their framing crew. Because it was an addition to a 1950's house, we were dealing with some unknowns and a few surprises during the process. We felt like the team approached the issues with open mind and offered creative solutions.
They turned challenges into opportunities and always had a positive attitude. Some of the finishing details were fairly complicated and the team had no problem executing them. Anchor Builders came into our home with a great understanding of what it takes to build a custom home and were able to work with and create all our ideas and plans. The quality of their work was impeccable and they left the site clean and tidy each night. They also had great rapport with our city inspectors and had connections with knowledgeable vendors.

We hired Anchor to build a home -- our home -- first envisioned by a couple of stellar architects at Design 45. We couldn't be more pleased with the result. Every day since we moved in we've appreciated the quality of the workmanship, which is a testament not just to Anchor but also to the subcontractors it chooses (and who choose to work with Anchor).
From a business standpoint, Barak and team (including our design lead Jackie and site lead Tyler) were easy to work with, responsive, timely, and worked hard with us to reach the proper balance of aesthetics and expense. I already have recommended Anchor to friends and neighbors, and will continue to do so.

From the moment we walked into an Anchor home at the Parade of Homes last spring, we knew they were a perfect fit to build our home in S Mpls. The level of quality and thoughtful design was unmatched to anything we had seen. I am incredibly picky and expect perfection which you don't always see even with new construction. It was obvious they took tremendous pride in their work.
We were originally going to work with an architect to design the home, but after learning more about Anchor's Design/Build process we realized that it was significantly more cost effective and timely to work with their team. We were very impressed with the process, especially, their thoughtful and efficient use of space to maximize the square footage of the home.
The construction phase was very smooth and we felt they did a great job keeping us informed along the way. It was clear Anchor worked with strong subs who took the same care with their work and valued doing things right every step along the way. Anchor has built our dream house and we don't ever plan on moving, but if we did, we would definitely work with them again.

Anchor Builders - What a team! Great design, great customer service and we moved into our finished house exactly on the date they had told us at the beginning. The design team came up with a house that fits in perfectly with the existing neighborhood. They promptly responded to all questions and concerns that we had throughout the process. Highly recommend!

We moved into our traditional Cape Cod-style home in St. Louis Park in 2010. While we were attracted to the charm of the 1939 home (crystal doorknobs, the hardwood floors, an old-fashioned doorbell, a laundry chute and central staircase), we always knew we would one-day remodel. Six years later, our growing children helped us in the decision making to finally pull the trigger.
Our original home had a small, single car, detached garage which we only used for storage. This was no good for grocery excursions, or for the several winters where both my husband and I had to scrape ice off our cars given they were both parked outside. We also wanted more space for my husband's sports collections; a bathroom we didn't have to share with our kids; and most importantly, an attached garage. Enter: Anchor Builders.
As many ideas of what we wanted already in our heads, Anchor Builders and their design team came up with a plan that not only maintained the charm of the home we first fell in love with, but they also helped efficiently move things around and bring the home up-to-date (e.g., moving the dining room from back to front; the family room from the front to the back; the master bedroom moved to above the garage; the laundry room moved from basement to upstairs; a garage now attached to the house, etc.).
After a 7-month process for which required us to move out of the house during construction, our home is now one of the larger homes in the neighborhood. However, for all of the charm they maintained on the inside, they were also successful maintaining the original charm of the house on the outside by literally building the addition around three century-old oak trees - something our little community holds of high importance.
