Will did a very thorough inspection of our home and gave both useful and thoughtful advice on how we can resolve a variety of issues we are experiencing. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone needing a home inspection.

We can't recommend Will highly enough! He is such a pro, and also very personable, so the whole experience was overwhelmingly positive. Will is incredibly knowledgable and provided tons of helpful information for us newbie homeowners during the inspection and in the final detailed report. He was so generous with providing recommendations and detailed explanations during the closing process, and we can see why he is one of our realtor's most recommended inspectors.

Great experience with Decker Home Services. Needed a quick turn around and Will answered the phone on a Sunday night, scheduled the inspection for Tuesday afternoon and had the summary in my hands first thing on Wednesday. He was very helpful and explained everything along the way.

I've been using Will Decker as an inspector for a dozen years. He's done four inspections for me personally, and I've also referred him to a half dozen friends and family (who were all thoroughly satisfied). He's been in the business awhile, and has some impressive credentials (including past president of the national organization for home inspectors). He is a veritable font of knowledge about chicago area buildings and codes. Would highly recommend.

Will was an unexpected but unbelievably amazing referral. He was thorough and provided a TON of helpful explanations and tips throughout the walk thru. His knowledge of inspecting goes beyond the standard by also including practical tips, history, and context to home issues. He struck me as someone with high integrity in the field. His fees were very reasonable and his report was timely (provided same day).

I actually had the pleasure of NOT working with Will. I say that in the best way possible. I was purchasing a new home and had some concerns about split block. I left Will a message on Sunday asking if he would be able to provide a secondary inspection on the home (fully prepared to pay the cost of a 2nd inspection). He returned my call later that evening and talked through the details of the home and reassured me I wouldn't need the second inspection based on his experience and the building itself.

This was an opportunity for Will to have made a quick buck but instead he was very honest, thorough, and informative. I really appreciated his candor and knowledge over the subject. While I did not have the chance to use Decker Home Services on my first inspection, in the future I plan on doing so.

William is not just your average inspector. He treats the home he inspects as if he were buying it for himself. We used Will's services on a commercial property. He was very professional, diligent, and timely with everything from the moment we reached out to him till the moment the report was in our hands. He even went above and beyond to meet with us a few days later to sit down and explain to us everything he found on the report. Will use him again for future properties! p.s the man is full of knowledge! Do not play trivia against him!

Will Decker is a seasoned veteran in the home inspection field. The master inspector has seen it all. So, of course, when it was time for my fiancee and I to say goodbye to apartment living, he was the only inspector I wanted on my side. He is thorough: inspected the electrical, checked the date and quality of the furnace, gave recommendations and estimates for repairs, checked the water heater, went into the crawl spaces. it goes on.

He even used a thermal imaging camera to check the insulation. His report is easy to follow, with a to-do list summary at the end of it. His meticulous report helped me dodge a bullet on a house that had way too many expensive problems. I highly recommend this leader in his field to anyone looking for a home inspection.

Will was a delight to work with! We needed to have him to inspect our split level condo which hes very good at. Hes also trained most of the inspectors that own the UV gun to check for moisture in the walls! This guy knows his stuff. And affordable! If I know anyone who needs an inspection i highly recommend Will! Highly! 5 plus stars
