Butters Homes has been serving Mansfield, PA with it's home building needs for over 30 years. We are a full-service home building company that does it all. Our experienced in-house team does everything from general contracting, trucking the homes, excavation, setting homes, and more. We represent some of the finest lines in Modular and manufactured homes from Apex Homes, Colony Homes, Commodore Homes, Muncy Homes, & New Era Homes.
Site excavation is a process in which soil, rock, and other materials are removed from a site, typically with the use of heavy earthmoving equipment such as excavators and bulldozers. During new construction on buildings, roads, and other structures, site excavation is one of the earliest stages. The site is excavated to create a level, clean area to work, with the foundations being established in the excavated area. A site may also be excavated and backfilled to confirm that the material directly under the site is of high quality.
Apex Homes is a diversified wholesale manufacturer of custom modular homes, condominiums, and light commercial structures. Over the past twenty years, we've built over ten thousand homes in seventeen states and five foreign countries. Though I have not purchased the home from them yet, I have reservations of completing the deal with them. I have now waited for 2 weeks to just get a response of email and voice mail. I also waited before for 2 weeks. Seems the sales guy thinks his job is complete or doesn't care, not sure. My concern would be after purchase and there is an issue, response time will be the same. Nothing, no acknowledgment. One of the worse things is to be ignored.

Working with Butter Homes was a great experience from start to finish. From the beginning, doing our very first walk through everybody in the office seemed so knowledgeable and kind. They allowed us the time to walk through and explore the homes ourselves, at our own pace. When we came in with questions, we got every answer we needed. Once we ordered our home, anytime we called with questions, concerns or changes Mike was in touch with us promptly.
When it came time to set our new home the team from Butter homes was right on schedule. We were very impressed with how well they worked with Silverline construction- everybody knew their task and they were all hands on deck and extremely efficient. Once our home was set, they were here working diligently to finish. Without hesitation we highly recommend Butters Homes to friends and family. After completely customizing a New Era modular, lengthening and widening it, adding a 12' slider, changing walls, etc. our home came 100% correct thanks to the diligence of Mike, who was involved throughout the process. This was our dream home, a culmination of the many places we've lived throughout the US.
I provided a 15 page document of the exact specifications, from what type of furnace to exactly where I wanted it, and the make/model of humidifier, type of water filtration, location of electrical service entrance, generator kVA, you name it, we specified it. Again, Dale and Butters got it 100% right. Mariel and everyone we've worked with always presented a helpful and pleasant demeanor.
They met with me and the subcontractors frequently to ensure I was happy and they communicated frequently to keep the project on schedule. Don't shop around, you found the right place. Butters homes.

(Update: Home manufacturer came and fixed many issues, the gentleman was very nice and quick. Still no follow up from Butters. Rating change now that major repairs have been fixed. Will update again after Butters repairs are completed at the year mark) Butters Homes was great to deal with during the purchase of our home. Very courteous and engaging with us at the beginning of the process and made it seem to go by pretty quick.
The house set and few weeks after went well and we were able to finish what we had to do while they finished their portions. After 30 days we were to make a list for corrections and repairs. We are now going on 2 months since then have some small repairs and a few major repairs that need attention. Our emails have gone unanswered and we have been told to expect a phone call from the manufacturer but have yet to receive one from them or one back from Butters on when stuff will be fixed.

It was a first time modular home buying experience for us and Butters Homes was great! Very responsive and easy to work with. A very talented team for sure from Sales to excavation to finish work. Basically needed them to act as a GC and they took care of everything in a very professional and expedient manner. Would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Currently living in a New Era home essembled by Butters Homes over 3 years ago and could not be more satisfied. The homes they offer are gorgeous and their staff is very hard working and accomodating. Highly recommend choosing them if you are in the market for a new home! You will not be disappointed :

These people are the cheapest people I have ever dealt with. They are all nice and promise you the moon-----until they have your money. Once they have your cash, they don't want to hear from you again and any complaints or problems will be either ignored or explained away as not their responsibility----that's if they ever even answer or return your call.
They were wonderful to deal with until the current owners bought them out 5 or 6 years ago, and I sent several people there to buy a home in the past but since the current owners bought it I would never, ever would I recommend this dealership to anyone! It's a shame they were allowed to keep the Butter's name and ruin that name and reputation.
