Worked with Adamson to design our New Construction home. They made the process very easy and an enjoyable experience for my wife and I. Tyler and Dan were always quick to respond, willing to work around my schedule and very knowledgeable about local codes and city requirements. I would definitely use them again or recommend to friends and family.

First off let's start by saying that the owner, Tyler, is a nice and likeable guy. He was not the best at responding when we first asked him to do our remodel. We gave him ideas and he came out to our house May or June 2016 and we agreed that we were in no rush and would like to have our plans by the beginning of the year (2017). We had 2 or 3 meetings with Tyler and started reaching out to him more once the new year was here and plans weren't done.
We let him know that we were looking to buy another house to move into while our house was being remodeled and that we needed the plans done. We let Tyler know multiple times that if he was too busy to do ours to just let us know and we would pay what we owed and find someone else. March 2017 came along and we purchased a house that is supposed to be done the end of May to move in to.
We continued to reach out to Tyler with minimal responses and at our last meeting with him he said he would be working on the elevation plans soon. The middle of March I reached out to Tyler via text and got a response and that is the LAST time he responded to us. We checked in with his office and confirmed that his cell was still the same and it was.
We called, texted and stopped by his office during normal business hours over 1.5 months and have still yet to hear back from him. A few weeks ago we finally told him via text and email and also telling his employee, Mike, that we just want our original plans we gave him back so we can start over with someone new and NOTHING! My husband and I both spoke with his employee, Mike, on several occasions and Mike told us that Tyler had absolutely no reason to not respond to us and to do what we needed to do. Mike is nice a nice guy.
We thought we were going to have to file a lawsuit to get our originals plans back but thankfully found another set after some digging. All in all, Tyler has had our ideas and plans for a year now and we have nothing and he won't even respond to us. He's extremely unprofessional. The website shows a Roger as the owner but Mike informed me that Roger is deceased and that Tyler bought the company.
My husband and I both being business owners we are dumbfounded as to why Tyler won't even respond to us or give us back what is ours. I know multiple people that have used him and they all said they had to stay on his butt to get the work done but are amazed that he isn't responding to us at all. A friend of ours even had their builder who is affiliated with Tyler reach out to him and tell him to handle his business and still nothing from him and that was over a week ago. There are many other architects in Ellis County to choose from if you are on the hunt. Terry and Jamie Nay
