More than just spaces to live and work, we believe in the potential of homes, offices and commercial spaces to build stronger communities and better lives. At Redstone, we see the potential in spaces and invest to create beautiful places.
As locals, we understand how a property fits into the fabric of a neighborhood, and that it takes more than a coat of paint to create a sense of place. We're humbled by the responsibility of developing projects in the forward-looking cities where we work, and so we invest deeply, growing strong roots that make our properties enduring parts of the community.

Worst rental place ever! Especially at Catamount Ridge. They do not follow up on anything and overprice their apartments. They also raise your rent for a new rental agreement by a lot. We're talking about 135 dollars extra a month. Save yourself some time, frustration, and money and do NOT rent from them!

I rented at a property managed by Redstone for one year. Could not recommend them in the slightest. A few grievances: -They dismissed our altercation with a neighbor on their property. -Did not return our security deposit in full even though the apartment was left in better condition and we paid to have it professionally cleaned -Garbage and dog poop everywhere on the property -Wrote awful emails informing us of false information The building was fine, Redstone was the problem. They are very greedy and do not act ethically.

It's not a bad place they have made alot of improvments for to keep people safe but i suspect there is some intentional sabotage just for a bad review i don't know how real estate workes but it is kind of the equivalent of renting to someone who wants to break someones company i guess so someones spends alot of time breaking things for what ever reason that is, with obvious results so whoever makes the decision of who they rent to may not be on the same page as the property owners, i don't know there is alot to it i just think that is a sad situation and kind of wasteful. Like you have someone who really wants to help with community problems and someone just taking advantage of that, it is kind of historical

Almost three years renting from Redstone, Winooski Block Building. All of the security improvements and other improvements 'promised', have been completed. Through the Rent Cafe portal, in which we can pay rent, there's a spot for making maintenance requests which makes fixing a problem easier. A couple of maintenance requests I had to ask for more than once, but, so what?
My biggest concern has been the general public parking in our designated parking area that tenants pay for. our Redstone property manager had it professionally handled. We have our parking back. I'd rent from Redstone again.

I lived at 247 pearl st in Burlington for about a year, and having Redstone as the property managers was horrible. I lived on the first floor, where across the hall a new resident moved in about 2 months into my year long lease. This resident proceeded to smoke cigarettes in her apartment on a near daily basis, I was among 5 other residents who made complaints to Redstone at least once a week for 6+ months. Redstone could not have handled this resident's actions worse, they dragged their feet, ignored emails, questioned if the smoking was really happened - despite several emails a week from us residents on the first floor + prospective tenants making negative comments about the smell.
As someone with a degenerative lung condition, Cystic Fibrosis, I made a point to tell Redstone that the resident's smoking and my exposure to it was extremely detrimental to my health - their response to this was that I should install plastic wrap around my door as to not let the smoke in. The only real action they ever took on the matter was to put up non-smoking signs in the building, these were ripped down within days and never put back up.
In my experience with Redstone they were disrespectful, dismissive, and had no care, for their tenants. Once you signed the lease they were just sure to remind you to pay rent and were sure to take advantage of my security deposit, taking over $400 off because of 'cleaning fees' despite the apartment being thoroughly vacuumed, mopped, and surfaces wiped down. I would never recommend Redstone to anyone ever, they are the worst.

Renting from Redstone at Catamount Lane was livable, but not worth the $1200 for a one-bedroom with no utilities (except water) and communal, coin-operated washer and dryer. We also had to pay an extra $50/month for a second parking spot, even though there were always plenty of available spaces. It certainly was not exceptional and unpleasant at times.
The apartments themselves are dated and cramped with no A/C (window units are allowed) so it was hard to keep clean at times. There was plenty of closet space though and lots of green space around the apartment complex. Upon move-in, there was a weird smell under the kitchen sink that never went away and some of the cabinets had a sticky residue on them that took a lot of scrubbing to finally get rid of.
Some of the doors were also chipped and paint-stained. During our lease, it seems like Redstone was trying to make improvements (i.e. replacing the carpet in the entranceway, fixing the entryway door so it shut fully, paving the parking lots and sidewalks, and replacing the laundry machines). The outdoor lighting in the complex was broken for most of our time renting there so, for the Vermont winters, it was VERY dark.
It took them a while to even notify us that something was wrong and then eventually tell us it would take even longer to repair the issue. By the end of our lease, the lighting had been replaced but that led to dirt all throughout the complex and then mud during Vermont's spring. The interior hallway lighting was also broken sporadically and was eventually fixed.
Some maintenance issues took a while to fix in the apartment, some they didn't even fix at all. A fixture fell off our light and they just said to leave it off. We had to send a follow-up email for two issues (a month after filing the request) to actually get them fixed. The snow clearing was decent. There were times during big storms that the sidewalks weren't well cleared and salt was minimal.
It is also pet-friendly, which is nice (no pet rent, just a deposit), but the dog bag bins weren't cleaned regularly and they would just let full doggie bags pile up below it. There didn't seem to be an enforcement of the rules around the complex in general (i.e. the misuse of the garbage). Cigarette butts were also left throughout the complex. We were able to get our full deposit back minus a carpet cleaning fee, which is required if you have pets. The staff was always professional, helpful and responsive. I was locked out a few times (once after hours) and they were able to get to me promptly.

Stayed with them for 3 years at Maidenlane (237 North Winooski). Place was overpriced and things are falling apart. Foundation must be shifting as wood flooring is coming apart, they glued it. Some windows don't close anymore and there is a bit of air getting through in the bedroom window. AC kept catching mold and leaked plenty, took forever to gef fixed. Mold built up on vanity jn bathroom.
Bedroom doesn't have it's own AC, just kind of recycles the livingroom air (which looked like it had mold coming out) Experience with Redstone has been rather unsatisfactory. Maintenance team is really small for plenty of buildings within the Burlington area and can take weeks to get something fixed. Moving out we didn't expect to get our entire deposit back, but got a little more than half. Turns out they charged us for carpet cleaning even though my dog is a service animal.
Also kind of hard to believe they spent 12h cleaning our place (accoring to their hourly rate and what we were charged). Overall sad, impersonal and yes they will rip you off. bigtime. Also get used to yearly rent increases (usually of around $50 on average). Also parking was never included.

Laziest property management I've ever experienced. They have no respect for their tenants, take days to respond to simple maintenance issues, can't keep track of payments/money, tow their own tenants because they can't keep track of parking permits, have no respect for your private information (my landlord literally forwarded my pay stub, social, and a copy of a voided check to my roommate by mistake), oh and their online payment system is terrible.

DO NOT MOVE TO CATAMOUNT RIDGE APARTMENTS. The management is a joke! They have no idea what's even legal and they run all over tenants! This place is FULL of huge dogs and the dog owners leave poop all over the property. The whole property smells! Don't try to open your windows for fresh air. The place is far too expensive for what? To walk out the door and see nothing but dog sh** everywhere?!?
There is no garden as they advertised. They personally attack tenants. They've even accused people of being drug addicts and threatened to throw them out. Obviously they were told there was a process. But they get very personal in a nasty way.
