Austin Drainage + Landscape Development

Amazing. Time and time again, we have read about landscaping nightmares and/or frustrations on NextDoor and elsewhere. Austin Drainage and Landscape Development is a top-notch contractor. They came in after a disastrous experience with another company and did a complete redo. Although we have pretty high expectations, ADLD met them all - and beyond.

They are perfectionists; they know their s - t. In our yards, they did extensive drainage work and repair (and clean up after the previous disaster) and designed two areas to our utmost satisfaction. Their employees are extremely pleasant to work and very knowledgeable. As well as accomodtaing. What a huge relief and pleasure to work with a truly competent and responsive company!

I want to give serious kudos to Kyle, Megan, and the entire ADLD team for a "job well done"! I live in Northwest Austin where my house is the lowest point on the street, and I have had multiple drainage issues, and most recently, had water enter the front of our house each time we had a heavy downpour. While I had done some minor stuff with a handyman, I realized that it was time for me to bring in a professional.

I reached out to 3 companies including Austin Drainage and Landscape Development (ADLD). Kyles showed up at my house and talked about what he would recommend, and I immediately felt comfortable that he knew what he was talking about. He recommended that we add a French drain and an area drain, and that we tied into the gutter downspouts and routed them all to our backyard which has a good slope.

I received a quote from his office before the committed date. I was able to get my questions about the quote answered in a timely manner, and the project got scheduled for execution sooner than promised. The crew that did the work knew what they were doing, were polite, and took care to avoid damaging our bushes/grass. All throughout the project, I always felt informed and in good hands. Kyle stopped by for a final walkthrough today and things look good. I strongly endorse ADLD for any drainage work.

After two other companies failed to resolve the drainage issues we have had in our backyard, ADLD fixed our problem. They extended a French drain to the front of our lot and installed a dry creek bed to facilitate water flow during heavy rains. An easy to work with company.

Poor quality work. Did not fix my issues. Hard to get a hold of. Overpriced. I had a bad experience with ADLD. I will number them here: 1. it took a very long time to get them to actually start working. I had to call and chase them down over a 6 week period to get them to come look at my property. 2. They did not listen to what I asked for and tried to upsell me.

I was pretty clear that I wanted solid piping from the downspouts and where I wanted it. Instead they proposed french drains. When I told them I wanted to solid piping only, they gave me a new proposal and STILL included the french drains that I did not want. I was kind of desperate to get this done (we were a few months in at this point), so I decided to just go with it 3.

I asked if we needed to do some regrading in the back because the whole reason I called them was related to water flow going under my deck out back. They said that it would not be an issue 4. after spending over 7k, the water still drains underneath my deck and goes to the house. When I called them back to bring this up, they did a walk through and said that they had suggested a swell (they definitely did not suggest a swell, they told me it was fine) and would send their guys out to fix it. 5.

It has not been a month and no one has come to fix it or to check in. 6. They also had to repour some concrete to replace the sidewalk and did a really poor job. It looks like they used very low quality materials and the section of my sidewalk that they replaced looks bad. 7. They did not replace the grass over any areas that were dug up for piping.

They left my yard looking bad and still not draining properly. In general, they are completely unresponsive unless they are collecting money from you, in which case you can talk to someone right away. You can always call the front office, where they take payments, but if you want to actually talk about your drainage or any issues with the work, they will have someone email you back.

Austin Drainage + Landscape Development took on a big job for a house I purchased that had a significant drainage and erosion issue. They corrected the situation on my sloped lot for about 1/2 of the price of a competitor. They also assisted me with renderings and a detailed job description for approval through my HOA. Their service is professional, courteous and at a good price.

They came up with a holistic solution for my extensive drainage problems. They surveyed the drainage flow to make sure everything was sloped in the correct direction. They regraded the land, installed french drains, channel drain in my driveway, and diverted the water away from the house to ensure I would not have flooding issues. They were on time and in budget.

I had them also install a new walkway to the front of the house, which looks beautiful! My neighbors compliment how good it looks. So not only is it pretty, it is also very functional. I look forward to a good rain after a dry spell to test it all out! I will follow up with a review after we have a good rain fall.

We were under the gun during our 7 day inspection period when our inspection revealed severe drainage issues with the home. The owner, Kyle, personally came out same day and assured us that his company could fix the problem. After purchasing the house he personally came out and helped draw up a plan and his crew knocked it out. My wife and I absolutely love our yard now! Kyle and his team are friendly, efficient, and are 100% customer focused! Highly recommend.

I can tell you without hesitation to look no further if you are looking for a phenomenal landscape, drainage and irrigation company. I'm not sure I've ever worked with a company who cares more about their work and keeping a customer satisfied. Dale Jennings is the best! He is a great communicator and takes the time and energy to make sure the job is done correctly and professionally from start to finish.

He worked within our budget and rolled out an amazing finished product. Our home is on a steep hillside with a lot of erosion issues. He professionally implemented a plan and executed it beautifully. This company is the best!

It took us 3 months to finalize on an agency to do some landscape work in our backyard. We wanted a stone patio done, stone borders along our flower beds, flagstone steps leading up to a section of the backyard and new sod (grass) in a section of our backyard. We got quotations from 4 different providers and finally selected ADLD and we are happy we did.

They kept us updated on our project start date, had a preliminary walk through before we started and a final walkthrough after the project was completed to ensure we were satisfied. Their folks would promptly show up at 8am and work through the day till 4 or 5pm. Everyday they would ensure that the place was tidied up before they left. They completed the project 3 days ahead of schedule and we were extremely happy with the results. Kyle, the project manager, was great to work with and kept us updated all along the way.

Their office staff is awesome as well, keeping us updated on phone and email. Oh and they are drainage experts, we had concerns over how the water was going to drain off the new patio and they knew their trade well. Would highly recommend ADLD.
