Williams Brothers Construction Company is a Houston-based firm that was founded in 1955 by J.K. Williams, C.K. Williams and J.D. (Doug) Pitcock, Jr. In the following year, the Interstate Highway Act was signed into law by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. The Williams brothers were bought out in 1964 and 1984, respectively, leaving Doug Pitcock as the sole shareholder.
Williams Brothers is first and foremost a bridge builder. We offer our clients seasoned specialty crews who have mastered their crafts and skills in all aspects of bridge construction. We've driven piling in harsh marine environments and drilled shafts within active, urban settings. From our foundation work to super elevated structures, Williams Brothers has perfected approaches and techniques that result in increased durability, reduced on-site work and construction time, minimal traffic disruption and environmental impact, and lower life cycle costs.
WB actively supports and encourages the participation of small businesses and disadvantaged business enterprises in the highway construction industry. We maintain a program that is compliant with Federal regulations. Our vertical integration and vendor subsidiaries give Williams Brothers the ability to expedite construction, while maintaining rigid safety and quality standards and environmental compliance.
It takes a variety of skills and talents to tackle some of the industry's most challenging projects. Whether you're a high school graduate or have 20 years of experience, if you're passionate about what you do, there's a place for you on our team. Right now, we are looking for top performers in a wide range of areas to join us in building a better Texas.

Just got done taking the pictures needed to start a class action lawsuit. After all of our local businesses took gigantic hits from covid, their lack of knowledge has led to atleast a month of more profit losses for all of us on the island. The Tiki island bridges strength was single handedly compromised by them causing closures that will further cripple our economy.
They have yet to finish one complete section, yet somehow keep moving south and tearing up more perfectly functional sections. Not to mention where their brand new concrete is already failing in League City. Time to take legal action.

This has got to be one of the shadiest road construction companies I have ever run across. They are in the process of building the 249 extension and as a result have started flooding out my property. I have tried to call their offices on several occasions and although their message says they will get back to you within 24 hours I get a call back a week later from some little secretary that has no power to make any decisions each and every time and this is an ongoing issue.
Last time I actually had to call the fire department out because the flood waters from the road almost washed away my home propane tank and I started to smell propane leaks. I tried to tackle it another way and if you go to their website they give you their office location with office hours and I showed up in person and there is no one there citing covid and to call the same number that I have been trying to call.
This is the only place that I know that is totally closed supposedly because of covid but they do not change that on their website and pretend like their offices are open and available to the public. They are also flooding out our dead end road to where we are not able to get out. There are old people that live down the road and when I called the fire department they could barely get in because of the extreme flooding over the road. My property has never flooded before and because of the way they have constructed the road and directed the water onto my property it is an extreme mess.

Williams Brother left a single construction barrel in the middle of the fast lane on 290, the car in front of me swerved to avoid it, traffic was heavy so I could not avoid it, also my wife and baby were in the car so it would not have been safe. I hit it causing nearly $4,000 damage to my car. I filled a police report and have photos. This was on Christmas day around 7:50pm, so no construction was going on, no employees were working, and it should not have been there.
Someone messed up and left it. I reach out to Williams Brothers attorney John Wofford (JWofford@wbctx.com), who sent me to the insurance adjuster Terry Davis (terry.davis@acig.com) who asked me to go to a shop and get an estimate for repairs, which I did then submitted to him. A couple days later, Terry and John both denied my claim, stating they met their obligation to the traveling public.
I asked for proof of inspection, copy of inspection process and inspector name/record. They refused and said basically. sue use if you want, and we will fight it. So I included the president Bob Lanham (BLanham@wbctx.com) on my emails trying to reason with them, and hope they were decent people of integrity and would fix their companies mistake. I got no response. I've called Bob several times, and he is always busy and never returns my call. Sad how they treat people, especially when they made a mistake.

I worked for this company for 1 year. The pay started at $14 an hour, very bad trucks to drive and if you get a ticket in the truck it's on you and they do fix nor keep the trucks in good running condition. The tags be expired. You work 7 seven days a week sometimes but they don't allow you to clock in o. Sunday to hide from DOT. The one person who decides who gets hired is in the Airtex office, her name is Christina, and she hires MANY undocumented people, (illegals.
I have nothing against these people). She also keeps those employees that by far fail drug tests and allows them to keep operating these large killing machines we call trucks and heavy equipment. Her sanity should be tested. They have people in managerial positions that clearly are not qualified. Non of the upper managers care about the outside workers well being. Pitcock, the owner, does NOTHING to make the job safe for the employees on the outside in no way.
The safety meetings are a joke, people blowing smoke up your rectum. They offer insurance with a $6000. deductible, really? That's just for yourself, adding family is out of the question. This company can be good to work for if all the feces is cleaned out.

Many years ago I was employed by this company. My brother and father worked there and three of my uncles. I think two of my uncles are still employed there. My experience with them was awful. T hey had hired me to be a painter and part of my job was to driver a two ton truck pulling a large air compressor. This job required me to be 21 years of age.
However I was not but 18 they had me drive the truck for 4 month and called me in to the main office one day and told me that my work was more than satisfactory but that I was being relived of my duties due to my age. I was going to be given a new job as a labor. And pay would be going from $ 12. 00 per hour To $ 7.00 because that's what they pay labors. Needless to say I didn't accept my new job and moved on.

I'd like to say as a current employee, the company has been nothing but good to me, this is the first job that ever gave me something for my birthday; in my opinion that was a very nice gesture. If you don't mind coming to work you are guaranteed to get over 40 hours a week, I average about 47-53 and other drivers average about 60 give or take, plus the over time after 40 hours getting paid time and a half is not bad since most jobs that don't require a degree wont offer you this in the Houston area.
The only down side to the company is they don't offer medical benefits, but the other drivers and supervisors are pretty cool so I can deal with it. I was a over the road truck driver for some years and I love the fact that I'm able to come home every night and still make more money than most of the big over the road companies like Swift & CRST. The only other down side to it is if it rain heavy in the area you are working in, you get stuck in the mud so they send you home until the area dry up, but usually you will come back to work the following day, I don't have anything bad to say about this company and I would recommend other drivers in fact I already have.
I can honestly say I love my job and I haven't said that in a while. The job is laid back, you are not allowed to have cell phones on your person, but that's understandable since we all know commercial vehicles, construction sites & big machinery don't mix and it's a recipe for disaster.
