It was his love of golf and the quality of life the "Sandhills" offered that led Will Huntley, president of Huntley Design Build, Inc., to relocate his company from Raleigh to Pinehurst in 2011. A multiple award winning, custom homebuilder, remodeler and competitive amateur golfer, Will is a hands-on builder delivering an incomparable product, customer service and satisfaction on every project he undertakes.
Born and raised in North Carolina, Will Huntley is an accomplished designer, builder and remodeler with over 15 years of experience in residential home construction. Bottom line up front. Huntley Design Build is second to none. Looking any further would be a waste of time, and quite honestly a long term mistake. ------- If you're reading this review, you are considering to build a home w/ Huntley. No doubt this is a stressful and understandably your biggest financial decision you have made (or will make). Understand, you are building a designer and high-performance home that will be a stand out amongst other homes as their is truly no comparison to the rest.
No doubt, there are many builders in the area to choose from. Will Huntley is a stand out that all other attempt to emulate. He is a local builder that is invested in the local community (and Veteran community) and builds locally. His personal reputation hangs on every single home he builds. I have personally based my decision on his past performance, and he has risen to the occasion.
Let me be clear. there is no other builder that could have pulled off what Will Huntley and his team has done. Full Stop. Mr. Huntely built me a home upwards of 3/4 of a million dollars. Not ten years into it the deck fell apart. Literally, wood rotting under your feet. When I had it pulled out and replaced, the builder stated that the cheapest wood possible was used to build the deck. The nails wer rusted and I had to put plywood over the planks to stop from falling through.
I have pictures. My roof started falling apart at 10 years. A 30 year roof supposedly, fast forward five roofers later and each one stated the workmanship was sub standard and not to code. My light switches all turned on an unexpected light. Mr. Huntely's response, "It must have been a special request of yours. " He then offered to send someone out to check out the roof and never did.
There is a crack in my wall that keeping returning. He no longer responds to emails. His silence is complicit. All in all, I cannot and would not recommend theis builder. He got his money and ran.
