They far surpassed my expectations of a general contractor for the project. Their level of professionalism throughout the entire project, from their Vice President, Project Manager, Superintendent, and office staff made the project smooth from estimating through completion. We had Vance come out 10 days ago to review our facilities for potential work and was told verbatim "I should have this back to you by the end of the week".ok tracking. I am fully aware of the lead times, labor and supply chain shortages that WE ARE all experiencing but communication is key in a business setting. After that week myself and the VP of Operations simply wanted a tentative timeline on the quote, being that the original one was not adhered to.
We are utilizing a city grant for the renovations and the matter is time sensitive in terms of submitting the quote for approval. We sent 1 text, 1 voicemail on Vances personal line, and 2 voicemails with the office. A week went by before any feedback and then Vance called me to tell me that they would not be interested in "working with clients like us" and that he shouldn't have to "deal with people counting the days of when I was out there".
Guess what? a simple response of "hey we're backed up/busy/etc so the quote will take this amount of time before I can get it to you" ok, too easy and thanks for the correspondence. Maintaining our word to our customers and clients is a pertinent and required business practice and when we don't maintain our word, we apologize and offer a resolution, not try to deflect and make an excuse for the lack of communication.
I know this company does great work as we've seen it and this review is no testament to the quality of work that they may or may not do. Simply addressing the communication and professionalism aspect of things.
