A friend of my wife's gave us the recombination to hired BB to do a side porch rebuild when no other contractor would give us the time of day to give us an estimate because the project being to small. It was the best decision we ever made. From start to finish everyone involved was amazing. Thanks so much for having a great company that cares about the little projects just as much as the bigger projects. Will most definitely be using BB for future repairs and remolding.

The contractor came and looked at my project for an estimate. I specifically told them that if the cost was above a certain amount, I was not interested in completing the entire project as it would not be in my budget. He said it should be under my number. Then, he got back to me a week later and wanted $800 for a "design" - a design of a walk-in closet?

He said the "design" may cost up to $1200. I said that I had never heard of this for such a small project and reluctantly agreed. They then came back with an absolutely ridiculous estimate 3 1/2 times my budget. I was shocked and after checking with other contractors, called them back and demanded my $800 back. After consulting with a home inspector friend of mine, they have a bad reputation for this and other instances of taking advantage of people.

My friend has uncovered numerous botched jobs and projects that were just temporarily fixed and clients charged a lot of money thinking the projects were completed with good workmanship. Beware!

The Bruckelmyer construction organization is a first class operation. From your the initial meeting to the keys being handed over, it is a quality experience, and that is rare. Their level of communication, problem solving and fairness to the owner is second to none. You won't find a better contractor in Minnesota.

I first heard of Bruckelmyer Brothers when I was on a home tour in Duluth. One of the older victorian homes had recently been refurbished and I asked the owners who had done the work. About a year after that I moved my ailing parents to Duluth. My mother has alzheimer's and when my father had a stroke I called Bruckelmyer's to see if they could redo the downstairs bathroom to accommodate a shower.

They responded promptly and provided an estimate. The craftsmanship of the work was remarkable but even more impressive was how very kind and patient all the gentlemen were with my mother. It was hard for her as she did not understand why they were there. Everyone was so outstanding and they work fast and beautifully. They did not go above the estimate and the bathroom looks like it was always part of the house.

I have called them on several occasion after the bathroom install to do some smaller jobs. Again, they were fast and the work is outstanding. Everyone who I met was kind and hard working. I am so happy I went on that home tour!
