Services
Claude started Custom Aluminum at the age of 21, working as a siding installer, he now runs Custom Exteriors as a General Contractor with over 50 employees. Claude has built Custom Exteriors one piece at a time with good people and a solid work ethic, treating builders, customers, employees and suppliers with honesty and respect.
In our Utah siding market vinyl is used 99% of the time. Its advantages are obvious with its durability, value and limited lifetime warranty. Our preferred panel is Alside's Conquest, it is a.040 Dutch lap double 41/2 panel that is offered in a wide variety of colors. All other brands and grades are also available.

4-windows and 2-slinding glass doors installed. Rob Vigil started the process and was an EXCELLENT representative. Very patient, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth. THANKS Rob! The install team were GREAT! Their attention to detail was awesome. The next project is James Hardie siding. If this goes as well as the window experience, I'll be just as pleased. Replacing all the windows and 3 large sliders in my older home could have had lots of glitches and surprises but my installation with Custom Exteriors out of Pleasanton was such a great experience. Dave Lopez, sales manager, was low key, and very confident of his product and crew. He did a thorough job of showing me the quality of the product and explaining their outstanding warranties.
A really great surprise was the install crew. Outstanding team. Each knew their specific aspect of the job, and when there were questions, they made sure to let me know and make sure I was happy with the final product. The tech with least seniority it turns out, has been with the company for over 18 years. That speaks volumes. They managed the project like clock work. I used Custom Exteriors to replace 13 windows in my home. My windows were pretty old - they were not soundproof (I live near a train), they were not low-e so the house would get really hot during warmer days. So I decided it was time for an upgrade. The process was pretty straightforward and the salesperson I worked with was very helpful in answering my questions.
They originally estimated that it would take around 7-8 weeks to get the windows, but I got a call in about ~5 weeks that the windows were ready to install. It took about two days to install all 13. I see a considerable difference in the temperature of the house as well as the noise level too (I don't hear the train anymore). I left out a star because one single hung windows that were installed does not open as expected. Seems like there is something wrong with the balance spring, also for the same window the little plastic lock keeps popping out even though I haven't used it so I had to tape it down because it prevented me from opening the window (see picture).
I'm still waiting to hear back on how I can get these fixed. Update: Changed from 4 stars => 5. It has been awhile, but I was able to get in touch with a Anlin Del Mar technician who came out free of charge and fixed some issues I was having with a single window.

Custom Exteriors installed Anlin windows and doors in my 40 year old condo replacing the rattling single panes that existed. The Anlin sound package has significantly reduced the noise from the Rossmoor Parkway. The crew's installation was flawless. Kudos for Custom Exteriors. Grayeagle handled all of the online specifics of our order. Whenever we had any questions or changes he responded very quickly. I am so happy i found Custom Exteriors. I had a referral from a neighbor after i was shocked to see the first bid i received for all new windows. Robert came over and customized my whole house plan and let me know what he recommended. We had new construction and replacements and each window turned out fantastic. The owner also stopped by before the installation and let us know he thought under our old aluminum siding was real siding and he would remove it if we wanted.
After the first window, we found out he was right and they tore off all the old 1970 siding for us. Our crew, led by Roberto, and then Salvador on stucco was outstanding. I cant recommend this company enough for fair pricing, cleanliness, attention to detail and timeliness! Thank you Custom Exteriors for our new windows.

We have used Custom Exteriors on many occasions over the years. We are in Lafayette and love that they service this area. We think the work is fantastic, both for windows and doors. We had Anlin sliding doors (2) and a back door installed in May 2021. We had a question about how the doors were locking and the next day the owner himself (Jeff) made a personal appearance and solved all our issues in about 10 minutes! Talk about customer service! We look forward to using Custom Exteriors for many years into the future.

I live at Rossmoor, a community with over 6,000 condos. Rossmoor has very strict HOA rules and all work must comply with Rossmoor's code, which exceeds City requirements. As seen in the attached photos, my townhome required custom built windows. I received 3 estimates, one estimate was several thousand dollars over Custom Exteriors estimate, another was similar but that company had much less experience in Rossmoor.
Custom Exteriors' estimate included all work and there were no surprises. The job went perfectly as promised. On day one the original windows were removed and new windows were installed. On day two their stucco crew applied new stucco and wood trim. On day three their painter completed all of the painting. Custome Exteriors facilitated the inspections throughout the process.
The company has a long history and very good relationship with both the City of Walnut Creek building department and Rossmoor's alteration's department. The permit process went very smoothly. It pays to go with a company that is known and respected by the City of Walnut Creek and Rossmoor's alterations department. The bottom line is that working with Custom Exteriors was a great experience and I highly recommend them.
