The A.C.C. Custom Homes experience was very good and they were easy to work with. They were willing to explain and assist us in doing some of the construction work ourselves. We were able to upgrade during the process because of the savings experienced. Assisted Custom Construction is the best choice among the many self-building programs available.

We used ACC for a remodel as a consultant service. There was very little benefit in using this service. They did not come through on the discounts that were part of their process. As another review mentioned, we found better pricing elsewhere and still had to pay 15% to ACC. The process is flawed. The owner is knowledgeable however some of his design ideas are not up to current standards. Be careful of this business and the agreement you sign.

The idea of getting builders discounts and having someone coordinate the work in our home was enticing. We signed a contract to pay ACC 15% on top of whatever we had done. As it turns out we found better pricing on everything ourselves and not through ACC's suppliers. It seems that ACC does not do enough business with its suppliers to earn really any discount. Items we shopped: Whole house lights, all plumbing fixtures and toilets, appliances, and door knobs.
So we did all the work locating these items and then paid 15% to ACC. ACC refused to even discuss the issue. ACC did come through on locating specialty sinks at a good price for us. ACC's owner is knowledgeable and has a good grasp of his industry. We did find him hard to communicate with on a number of items. The project went fast, but many details were missed.
This lead to problems finishing up the project. I tried to switch to email communication to establish a written documentation. But the owner just refused to communicate via email. Overall I am pleased with my finial project. I was not pleased with the process. I am disappointed in the lack of money saving discounts on building materials and appliances that we thought we would get for using this contractor. Communication was not good through out the process. The owner has a bit of a short fuse. I would not use them again.
