We had decided the area we wanted to move to and had looked for a house to buy. We could not find anything we wanted so we decided to build a home. Our experience with Basso Builders began about 2 and a half years ago. We met with Josh and other builders. As we had never built a home before, we had a lot of anxiety and fear about the process or something not going right or costing more than what we were prepared to spend.
After A LOT of research we finally decided to build with Basso in October of 2019. This was the best decision we have ever made. From our first design meeting with Wally and our first site meeting with Josh we knew we made the right choice. Working with them made everything so easy. They have great systems in place with Danyel in the office who took care of everything so efficiently.
Our house was completed BEFORE our estimated finish date in April 2020 and on budget! At the final walk through Don gave us information on every aspect of our home and how to properly maintain it post build. We were given a binder full of information, with all our warranty and contact information. The house is beautiful, we could not be happier with every detail.
We have been in our home for 8 months and I have called with a question or concern 2 or 3 times and they immediately took care of each one. Their service after the construction was complete was just as good as during the construction process. Our house was literally move in ready down to the towel racks being hung for us. The whole experience was positive and I highly recommend anyone who is looking to build (especially first time home builders like us) to make the best decision you can and build with Basso! You won't regret it!

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness Been trying contact them for over a month and no return calls or emails. I Facebook them and refuse to do a call with me see if I am even interested in a house. I am 6 months pregnant and with covid19 I cannot meet in person and basso refuse to do a call me. It's a shame I am ready to start a project.

Working with everyone from this company was an amazing experience from start to finish. Very accommodating, patient, understanding when it came to making changes, offered their opinions, but never pushed. I absolutely love my new home, and will definitely be recommending them to anyone looking to build. Our family spent a lot of money having a house built by Basso. Contract management by Basso was minimal- had to watch everything like a hawk. After moving in, as expected there were details to be fixed. One of the major details that arose after only 3 months of occupation was a concerning amount of mold growing in the ceiling corner of our daughter's bedroom.
When inspection was requested by Basso they blamed us for creating a humid environment and did not check the attic, leading us to check the attic. A large portion of insulation was missing from over the area the mold was growing. After my significant other's frustration was communicated in a heated email about what we considered the last straw in terms of poor management, Josh Basso, the owner's response was "Fuck off" written via an email directly to us as customers
