Being a first time home builder can be a daunting task. When my wife and I decided to build we spoke with many builders to find a good fit. After an exhaustive search we saw a sign for Maston Homes out of Landrum SC and went to talk with them. Upon meeting Colleen and Mike we were pretty sure we had found our builders. We asked if they had any near by projects we could go see and they took us to see two different projects close by.
While looking at these two homes in different stages of completion we mentioned we weren't sure exactly where on our property we should place the home. Our property was close so they offered to come look and give their input. This ended up being very helpful because where I thought I wanted to build would have cost us THOUSANDS more. We also weren't exactly sure on our floor plan, Colleen showed us one they were building at the time and helped us to modify it to fit our needs.
We settled on a plan and a price and went to the bank, soon construction was underway. Building a house is an interesting and somewhat stressful project. My only advice or possible critique (more on myself than Colleen and Mike) is do your research and know what is included and what's not included in your build. That being said Mike went out of his way on several occasions to help us out. Mike's crew does most of his work and I simply cannot say enough to compliment them on their work ethic, quality and attention to detail!
The same goes for his electrician, plumber and cabinet contractors. The build was close to being completed on schedule which is no small task in today's world. I would definitely recommend Maston Homes if you are considering building a home. Thank you to Mike, Colleen and their whole crew for our beautiful home.

Maston Homes built my house and then, a few months later, my garage with a guest apartment. I couldn't be happier with the results. My house is beautiful and turned out just the way it was supposed to. The workmen were here early (about 7:30) every morning and the owner, Mike, was here every day to see how work was progressing. The house came in on time and within budget.
If I had a concern I called Tammy or Colleen and it was taken care of. As far as I'm concerned, everybody went above and beyond.they even helped me with my landscaping! Couldn't be happier, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone building a house.

Inferior builder. Home finished in September and have had 5 roof leaks. Yesterday found snow in attic that contains all our stored furniture and builder said that was normal. Builder arrogant and foul mouthed, customer service does not exist. You can not get a hold of them before 10 am or after 4 pm and forget the weekends.

We contracted with Maston Homes for a stick-built home and are very pleased with the outcome. We found them attentive to our desires and honest in their conduct. They have since built an equipment building and roofed a new barn for us. All are successes with no problems. We are pleased to have chosen Maston Homes as our builder.
