Aspen Remodelers made our bathroom handicapped accessible, with a zero barrier shower area, and fully tiled walls and floor. The design was carefully researched to make sure it fit ADA guidelines, including the positioning of grab bars and the other fixtures. This involved creating a larger door opening to allow wheelchair access and providing custom cabinetry.
The work was high quality and done in a very timely fashion. The workers were friendly and helpful and I was kept informed of the progress of the work at all times. They also replaced doors and woodwork for me throughout the house with the same high quality.

So this is about all I have to say. save your time and money. Dean was really nice up to a certain point. We were going to have him finish our basement. He came out to our house, designed some plans, then we asked if he could do part of the work for a reduced cost. Well, never heard from him again. Called several times and no return call. Pretty much moved on from this bum and we're going with another contractor.
Try it if you want to, but this was my experience. The other contractor we are going with seems to be more knowledgeable and polite. So to that I say shove it Aspen Remodelers.

My husband and I bought a HUD home that needed repairs. Because it was owned by the government, that meant that we'd have to get certain things done by contractors, in compliance with the type of loan we got. We looks around and contacted a few contractors. Aspen Remodelers were the only ones to actually get back to us in a reasonable amount of time (we had to have things signed by them at the same time we signed the agreement to buy the house) and we needed to start work right away once all the papers were signed.
We thought they were a good fit. They're website seemed cleaned, well-maintained and had good reviews on it. They told us the work would be done in "a month, six-weeks tops." Papers were signed at the end of October, and work started in the first week of November. We didn't move into the house until Mid December - which was supposed to allow them to get everything done in the time they said it would take. Skipping ahead, the final inspection was in mid to late March.
It took them 4 months to do a job they said would take 1 month. Let's start with plumbing: they had to bust some holes in the basement walls to access plumbing pipes. When they "patched the holes, " they slap a piece of plywood over them. We were asking when the plumbing was going to be done. We were told the plumbing would be done at the end of the week for three weeks in a row.
We told the plumber to leave the garbage, because we were going to get rid of it ourselves. He took the copper pipes with him that he replaced with PEX. My husband had a week off, so he was home and was working on his own things there all week. He asked the plumber and the contractor about his step-stool, one of the few things we left there, because he couldn't find it.
The plumber mumbled something, went out to his truck and brought it back in. While working on the front door (we needed a new threshold), they quoted us for getting a new threshold. Once they had another look at it, they decided we needed to get a new front door because it would be better to replace the whole door frame. They said that just replacing the threshold would not be the right way to do it.
We took a week and picked out new front door. Once they got around to actually doing it, they called us to talk about replacing the door. They said they were going to measure it and then talk to us the next day. The next day after they measured it, they decided they would just put in a new threshold, not replace they door and not call us to let us know that.
While doing the threshold, they walked through the house with their boots on and got dirt all over the floor. They left what looked like drywall all over the sink and got my clean dishes all dirty. They were to do tuckpointing. When we did the walk through, we were told they'd do the basement in addition to the bricks on the outside of the house. They didn't do the basement.
And when they did the outside of the house, they used a color that was nowhere near matching the color that was already used. We are completely unsatisfied with this. We had no problems with the Electrician. He was great. He did his work fast and cleaned up after himself. He even came when we had a problem with one of the light switches. They continually left lights on when they left and a few times left the door unlocked when they left.
They threw things where ever they saw was fit, like a pile of wood that sat on the curb for a good two/three weeks before we decided that we'd take care of all the garbage stuff and picked it up and dealt with it ourselves. They left ladders sitting in the snow for weeks. They left scaffolding up from when they started in November until January. Once the snow melted, I found screws, sand paper, a couple shingles, metal clasps, and other metal things outside in the yard that they never cleaned up.
