I had recently purchased a carport kit from versa tube and after I got the kit I decided to put a little extension kit on it. I called and ordered the extension kit and received it missing one part and called customer service and talk to a lovely person named Heather, who handled it so quickly and professionally, shipped it out to me no charge and I received it within four days after I requested it.
I just want to say even though it was a little bit of an inconvenience, people like Heather made everything a whole lot better. I just want to thank VersaTube for hiring people like her, you guys rock.

I purchased the system in July. Still waiting for parts in September. The system was delivered in multiple shipments though VersaTube doesnt really tell you who or how they will ship the parts. When the parts arrived I went through a simple inventory and found that they were missing multiple parts and sent the wrong parts. I tried calling that day which only had a voicemail.
I left a message with no response. I sent an email with no response. I chatted on facebook (the only way to get ahold of anyone) and they were apologetic but not really any help. Finally I get a response days later telling me they need pictures if my job site to prove I am missing the parts. (Yeah I need spare hat track laying in my yard). I agree and send the pictures, even though that is stupid because any moron would just hide the parts they were lying about so really they are just wasting their customers time.
Then I am told it is being sent for approval. I email asking for an update and get no response. Then someone responds saying they apologize and will use this as a training opportunity and agreed to send the parts. It is five days later and they still havent shipped the parts and will not respond to emails. I finally decided to start a dispute for the charge.
I would not recommend VersaTube to anyone. They have poor shipping and QA. Their customer service is beyond terrible. The instructions they send you are not very specific to your building and a more general building instructions. They send out the system without all the parts or correct parts. The quality of their self tapping screws are horrible.
I went to home depot and paid $20 for screws that actually bite. It is not a basic building and you should have some construction experience if you plan on doing this. Picture to show where I am stuck with missing parts.

I installed a custom designed 19x17 over a parking pad with concrete anchors. The kit itself was amazing, instructions clear, quality good, and looks awesome. Great bang for the buck. My issue, as many have said, was with the shipper of the sheet metal. I ended up with one sheet damaged from the forks, but not bad enough to be worth trying to get a replacement (I had a limited window of time to get it built).
Not Versatube's fault, and my decision not to pursue a replacement sheet. I went ahead and just put it up, and it looks fine, overall an excellent experience. I would recommend and use again if I ever need another sheet metal structure.

I purchased a 22' by 40' building from versa tube. This product is awesome and dealing with versa tube was just as great. The building went up quickly and easy all parts fit perfectly. I built a 30 by 30 wooden garage about 15 years ago I will never go back to wood, metal is the way to go less maintenance and much easier to assemble. Great experience Versa Tube thank you.

I ordered a classic carport from VersaTube in early March. Their communication via email was great getting me ready for my multiple deliveries and what to expect. They were even able to send me a pier layout so I could start prepping the site before the arrival of the frame. I received the sheet metal on time and according to plan. The frame on the other had was lost in shipment for multiple weeks.
When I called the shipping company, they were no help. I contacted VersaTube about the shipment issue, and they tried to help figure out the issue. After no resolution they manufactured another frame to send to me. Right before they shipped the second frame, the original shipping company contacted me and said they found the shipment (almost 4 weeks later).
This delay was an issue for me as I had scheduled the build weeks prior. I appreciate how VersaTube handled the situation, and if my shipment hadn't been found, I would have had one on the way to my jobsite. I know that the shipping issue had nothing to do with VersaTube, but they did what they could to make it right! Thanks again to VersaTube and also to Heather Strong for everything you did! Carport is almost finished being built now! Quality of materials is top notch!

Caution.ordered my 24' x 20' 3 sided carport. Everything went smoothly. Received my e-mail with building/care instructions. Received notice when product was shipped. VersaTube carport was shipped separately from the roofing. This was clearly explained, so I knew that I was receiving 2 separate shipments. The roofing/siding was received with no problems.
The VersaTube package was scheduled to be delivered between 7:00AM and 12:00 Noon. I do not live on site and have to travel 2 hours to open gate to the property. I traveled up the night before to be there early in case the driver arrived at 7:AM. By 12:00 Noon the driver and package had not arrived. I had to return to my business for a 3:00 PM meeting.
At 1:00 PM I get a call from the driver that he was running late? I told him that I had waited until 12:00 Noon and had to return to work. I gave him permission to drop the package inside my gate on the property. Received a phone call @ 2:00 PM from a neighbor that the package had been dropped outside my gate beside the highway!? He used his tractor, picked it up off of the highway and placed it inside my gate, on my property.
I expressed my frustration to Estes Express Shipping and to VersaTube and received NO RESPONSE! Installed the careport and overall, it is a nice structure. The instructions are lacking clarity. The instructions cover multiple applications and are not specific to my model. I also live in a snow zone, have a wide 24' carport and no web bracing was supplied as indicated in the instructions?
I've left 2 phone voice messages and 2 e-mails and have received no response? Customer Service/Service Support is NON-EXISTENT! The carport itself is a nice structure, just be careful if you need help or assistance.

Updated review, I ordered my 20x20 building and it was pushed back a week due to high orders, versatube sent me an email with shipping information on my frame and the shipping company called me and set up delivery and it all went as planned. My sheetmetal was another story. They sent me the name of the sheet metal supplier who never called to set up delivery.
When they finally did call they asked how the delivery was. I didn't get a delivery, after 24 hours of them researching it they delivered it to the wrong address about 2 blocks away. Versatube gave the supplier the correct address, they gave their driver the wrong address and all of my trim had been stolen. The shipping company said they would redeliver the entire order in 3 days to the corrcts address that would be on a Sunday.
My contractors came Sunday and hung insulation on my frame so they could hang the sheet metal the same day. The driver brought only the sheet metal and no trim so my contractor could not start hanging the metal because the j channel trim goes on first. At this point I had 2 orders of siding and roof and no trim. I had to pay my contractor to take the insulation down so that it did not get ruined and pay them to rehang it. Monday versatube got ahold of the sheet metal supplier and they said they would bring it Friday.
On Friday night I still had no trim and the driver never came. I had the personal cell number of a agent at versatube and she was going to get ahold of them in the morning. Saturday they told versatube they would bring it Sunday. Sunday came and their driver called to tell me that his truck broke down and couldn't make the delivery. At this point the sheet metal supplier has made 4 attempts to deliver and failed 4 times. Monday morning I paid my contractor to drive 2 hours round trip to pick it up. Versatube has paid me for my extra cost with insulation and delivery of the sheet metal and have been great with keeping me in the loop.
I had personal contact at home and work with the customer service manager and the failure on my order was obviously in the part of my sheet metal supplier. I can say after my building was finished we may be looking at adding a versatube carport next to it for an outdoor kitchen area.

Overall I am very happy with the VersaTube building that I constructed this summer. This was not a standard garage like they normally produce. It was a 2,200 sq. ft. combination RV garage and 1 bedroom, 1 bath house, with a hip roof (which VersaTube doesn't build). The quality of the material is excellent, and the layout and design is innovative and effective.
There were a few problems. Engineering was a little bit lacking on designing door openings, leaving base rails across the bottom of three door openings, and miscalculating the width on a double door opening. They also missed on the soffit width and miscounted the material takeoff on a couple of items. The Tolleson plant left out some pieces that were on the packing list for the shipment.
Between the engineering sloppiness and the plant sloppiness, it caused me to make three 6 hour round trips to get parts to keep the construction moving along, and some creative shuffling to keep my guys working. I still give them a 5 star rating because of one person that went out of their way, over and above, to sort out the problems for me. That person is Zack Rice, Manager of Dealer Sales.
First he worked with me to get the plans to match my design. Second he smoothed out the rough spots through the construction. With him, it worked out like it should have in the first place. Without him, this would have been a disaster. He was professional and attentive; always helpful and cheerful. But most of all, he produced, He got the job done every time I made him aware of a problem. Thanks Zack.

The kit was a little more complex to put up than I expected. Otherwise, I received my goods in reasonably fast. While not yet done, the quality materials was great. At no extra cost, the delivery driver was very helpful in getting the materials off the truck. When calling Versatube, I always got a fast and friendly service from real life people. And yes, I would whole-hardheartedly recommend Versatube anyone asking.

I found the framing to be of high quality and the fit pretty much perfect. Being a USA Company I made every effort to overlook the shortcomings, mainly service. My problem manifested when I realized that a few items were missing within the kit, mainly the instructions and anchoring. After several days of conversation with Veristube which could better be described as argument and countless promises to return my calls with needed information I gave up and purchased the needed items at a extra cost elsewhere.
It really a shame to have such a nice product and loose the customer experience and recommendations of the customers by burnt out employees. I could have had this built on my land for $100 less with a different company. I would not purchase again. Live and learn.

I purchased the Summit 24' x 30' x 10' garage kit from Versatube and feel it's a good quality building that I would recommend to a friend. I built it mostly alone and it's not that difficult just very time consuming fitting all the pieces with the 2750 screws that came in my kit. It took me 5 full weekends to finish including the doors.
Overall it was a good experience and have no regrets even with a few bumps along the way. Customer service was great and want to give a special thanks to my salesman Ty Sampson who always responded quickly with any questions or concerns I had. He is an asset to the company.

I have 3 of these buildings, and I live in San Diego. The best part is you can assemble it yourself. No leaks on 2of them but the 3rd one for a car cover I made 35feet long And where the two overlap it leaks. But Probly cause I didn't put enough screws in it and being horizontal overlap. Caulking fixed that problem. I got 9 years on my first 24 x45 foot work shop and not one issue. My neighbor got one from Indiana for 32 thousand dallors I beam construction. I only payd 15 thousand. Love it.
