Ziggy's lost a customer last week. I went in to pick up a few things and was greeted (or actually not greeted) with the most apathetic, uncaring, disinterested, unfriendly attitude from staff members (Gwen and others) that I have ever experienced, anywhere. Additionally, their lumber was a full (no exaggeration) 37% higher than the nearest Lowe's or Home Depot.
The bottom line is this, Ziggy's: I will USE you when I need to in a pinch because you are closer to where I live, but I basically have NO USE for you and will simply drive to Home Depot instead from now on whenever possible. I am convinced you are on your way out of business and need to GOUGE your last few customers for every penny, so I will choose to NOT be one of them. Good riddance!

Our experience was great! Needed chimney pipe parts and the guy helping was knowledgeable. He set us up with all the parts we needed which was quite a few considering I was running the chimney through the attic. He kept the price down by suggesting an alternative part that was cheaper, did the same job, but was in a different location in the store.
So this review is good but it cannot be a five star. I had to buy the pellet stove itself from a competitor. For the same exact stove, I paid $359 less. I'm all for paying for great service, but $359 was a bit more than I was willing to do.

Ziggy's is a great local alternate to the big two box stores. The folks here tend to know there stuff and are in the business of helping build stuff. Right now they seem to be doing a better job stocking than many competitors. Overall, Ziggy's is great. My only note is that you should shop a bit usually Zigs is very price competitive but once in a while can be higher priced, just depends on the items.

A few years back Ziggy's was the quality of wood was good. This year I bought cedar dog ear fencing. I paid more for #2 quality but they will not let you pick through the boards, thus they loaded them. When I got ready to build the fence 20% of the boards were either cracked or had large blemishes! Then out of the 2x4 that went with the purchase 1/6 were warped where they were unusable.
When I called to confirm that I could swap out the boards I was told that they do not take fencing boards back and that the 2x4s were exchangeable for just 30 days and I was three days past that. Beware

It's unfortunate that Ziggy's is being pushed out by the big stores. There are things about it that are great. But it isn't where you go to get anything, it's where you go to get very certain things. Ziggys, if you're listening, I'd like to see you guys around long term. Your store is falling into the Ace hardware "specialty" or "better than nothing" category. You need to address that.

I ordered 15 boxes of laminate. They didn't have them at the north Spokane location, therefore delivery was needed from the valley location. I was told they would be there by Tuesday afternoon but Wednesday morning for sure.that was my day off and I made the trip to store to get them. Come to find out the delivery was not made. I payed in advance in good faith expecting to get the product at the date told, only to find out it was'n there. I wanted to support local store over national chain, but that was the end of my shopping at Ziggy's.

I really liked the idea of Ziggy's when I moved my business to the area. I like shopping locally if I can. However, after 3-4 tries, I won't be going back. The biggest strike against them is that they never have all of what I need. Literally never. If you just need a single box of screws or a single 2x4 stud, you might be ok. But for an actual job order, I found them very lacking. Second, their prices are very high. As in 40%-50% over competitors' pricing. I can't afford those premiums when my competitors are buying from other yards at a discount. Sorry Ziggy's.

Ordered a painted (base price is without paint or delivery costs and comes with a single door)10'x20' gable style shed, with doubled barn doors. Couldn't be more pleased for the money. Well built. Was over $3400.00 with paint and delivery from Post Falls to Spangle area. Delivery driver was prompt courteous and professional. Helped shove one end of the shed over to square up with my shop.
Only complaint was that there was some paint missed in the groves of the T111. The shed came with a five gallon bucket of paint enoph to touch it up and give the whole thing a couple more coats! FYI the 10'x20' only has about a 3 overhang so to not have to have a wide load permit. (UPDATE) Customer service called me and offered to send someone out to touch up the missed spots. Wow! Great service! Thanks Ziggy's!

We've gone into Ziggy's many time to buy various supplies. It is essentially one of the closest hardware stores and we like to shop local. Today my husband went in with a gallon can of exterior paint that the previous owners had left for use in touching up the exterior siding of our home. We are not sure where it was purchased since we did not buy it. But, we need to use it for some touch-up around newly installed windows.
It needed to be shaken up as it had sat for at least a couple of years. Simple enough, right? Would take all of five minutes and cost nothing. There was one other customer in the store and he was browsing. My husband made the request. The female clerk said no, that she would only do that for paint purchased at Ziggy's. My husband said, "okay. and I'll certainly never come back to shop here, ever!" Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware plus many other smaller local hardware stores will now get our business. She shrugged. We will never go into that store again. Horrible customer service. Stupid, too.

We shopped at this store to pick up some building tools to start our remodeling project and wanted to support the local community store without going to the big box stores. We used the hammer for two days and the handle split. We returned it to the store to see if they would replace it and they said that there's no warranty on that hammer we're just out of luck. We're just starting our project with many thing to purchase and knowing how this place backs their purchases, we won't be patronizing this establishment with our money. Big loss for such a simple hammer. Hello home depot!

Went there twice, no more. The prices seem high to me. I got a price of over $100 on a 5 gallon bucket of barn red paint. But picked up a comparable product at another place, it was less than $70. Got fencing material there and many of the boards were broken, improperly milled, warped and had huge knot holes in them. The customer service was not much better than the prices. I got the feeling like no one cared if I was there. From now on I will drive the extra miles it will take to the competitor.
