We knew we could depend on you, your word, and your employees to see that all was to our satisfaction. It has been a fun experience for us and we love our beautiful, new home and the neighborhood surrounding it. It was an amazing experience, no stress at all.except for that I was so anxious to have it done. Viking finished ahead of schedule and my home is even more beautiful than I ever dreamed it would be.

Make sure to get a certified inspection. Recommended by Vikings own staff. With the fast production you are bound to have structural issues. Warping of rain water soaked subs. The list is long! And with the long wait times on materials. Good luck getting it done in a timely manor. Great attitudes, but minimal service on getting repairs done the right way so they don't have to come back 3+ times to "try" and cookie cutter fix the issue. Its called the wine theory. The longer it goes. I give 5 stars for how nice the staff is, but 2 stars on build and repairs.

Viking Construction seems to care more about just making money than keeping their contractual warranty agreement. I have sent a couple emails (from their website) with no response by calling or emailing me. I know they get the emails because our hot water tank went out a few months ago and they fixed it after two weeks. which meant no hot/warm water for two weeks.
Our warranty is coming up and I don't see how they will be able to fix the warranty issues in time which sounds like their MO from talking with the neighbors. I will update this if they fix anything, if they even reach out in time, or post pursuing Viking ignoring the warranty claims.

My home was built in 2006 by Viking. Aside from normal wear and tear and some settling cracking it still is competitive and new looking. The craftsmanship shows. Even being older this home has weathered times well. Viking do you have a residing recommendation? Its on my list to reside the house. Thanks!

I recently moved into my retirement house that Viking Homes built and it is so pretty I love the vaulted ceilings and it gives a more spacious feel I have a Den and Mud Room give me all the extra space I need for guest and family that come to visit. I was very disappointed when I paid extra money for an upgraded insulated garage door and when I did the walk through someone had put two large holes in it and when I mentioned it they said they were only going to put tape over it.
I thought that was a joke but sure enough after closing I get my keys and there are two Giant Pieces of White Tape covering the wholes. Viking Homes if you read this and are willing to fix it I would give you 5 stars.

Do you hate money? Then pay a premium price for below average workmanship. I've lived in a Viking built house for several years now, and it's starting to show it's cracks. Sure, they look great when they're brand new, but Viking cuts corners wherever possible to maximize their profit. Inadequate insulation in the attic has led to high heat bills and ice dam roof leaks. Doors hung improperly have led to rubbing and falling off of hinges. Poorly done caulking has allowed water to leak behind the cabinets in the kitchen. Improper installation of door kick plates has caused cracking of door frames and insecure locking. Siding hung improperly and has been falling from the house.
The garage door spring snapped after a few years because Viking continually chooses the lowest quality supplier. Just this last week the builder installed closet shelf and rod collapsed and caused extensive drywall damage after slowly working its way loose over years because the main support board was cut too long. Instead of cutting it to the proper length the builder jammed it in and stapled in down. All of this incompetently done finishing work makes me shudder to think of the problems yet to be found deeper in the house.

One more problem has come about, so far we've had to replace our roof ( wasn't up to code when they put it on, lifted on all corners, shingles not installed right), replace 3 water faucets ( they were continuously dripping), had to have all locks changed because there subs could still get in after we took possession of the house, & now the tile bench that they had installed in the master bathroom shower is unsafe to use because it was installed wrong.
Just to be clear I've never sat on it because it looked unsafe. Well it is coming off the wall, it appears that they attached ( glued) it to the tile not the wall. Safe your money and build a home with a builder who hires subs that are certified in their trade. It will cost a bit more, its well worth the money. No they don't deserve a one star either.
When they say that they will take care of issues at the one yr walk through. Bahahaha! Not! They look at you and say that's not covered under the warranty. Like our house being painted two different shades of the same color. Ugh! I forgot to mention the cracks in the house because of settling, yes it happens I understand that, when they sent the sub out to fix them, they caulked them and called it good.
Well caulking a crack doesn't fix a stress crack. We have hired a company to come fix all stress cracks this coming fall at a 2yr mark for our brand new home. Good luck with getting stuff fixed from Viking most likely you will pay out of pocket.

Be very careful. Recently had a granite sink completely fall out of place into the area where you store your dish soap etc. (yes below the sink). Of course paid several hundred extra $$ for that to be installed when the house was built. Installed meant apparently that they glued it in and added two 99 cent brackets on the side. No evidence of any wood rot, so simply glue! failed.
Of course out of warranty period, so of course they are never responsible. Like the majority of reviews here, I'm sure they will respond telling me to contact service. Already done. Don't waste your typing. Your house will last a year, and then the problems will start. Paint will peel and crack, dry wall will begin to crumble. The super positive reviews on here are either fake or people who have not had their house a year yet.
Buyer beware! So you will notice on their predictable response that somehow I am supposed to use maintenance to ensure my sink does not fall into the floor? Really? That's the best you can do? There is no way that a granite sink should ever fall away into the floor. Ever. That is just shoddy workmanship. So enjoy your ratings Viking Homes. You certainly deserve it and should be proud.

We are still trying to resolve our dissatisfaction with the appearance/changes of our Viking Home in Twin Bridges. Appreciate the work done by most of the Viking team however the refusal to fix an obvious problem with our home's appearance is unacceptable. I would like to begin by quoting from the Viking Builders public website: "As one of the area's largest builders, we understand the importance of customer satisfaction.
Our warranty and service program provides you with peace of mind." Please see the pictures of our house & the Viking Tully brochure attached. You will immediately notice the significant difference in the elevation of the front of the house which creates a huge "red barn effect" on our home. We are dissatisfied with the extensive red vinyl siding over the garage door.
This IS NOT what we were shown & agreed to at the Viking Design center in June 2017. Since Viking senior management may not be aware of the background here is a summary: June 2017: Selected & paid good faith funds for a lot in Twin Bridges neighborhood. The lot required a $8K premium. June 2017: Met with the Viking Design center supervisor for a 4 hour meeting to make option selections on our Tully home.
At no time were elevation or significant design changes discussed. July 2017: Returned to Tampa FL. (Note: we were unable to watch the construction of our home as we live 2,800 miles away.) August 2017: We were Contacted by Viking personnel on the necessity of building steps to three entry points to our home. Lost a 3 car garage due to this change.
We did not like this but were told it was necessary based on architectural analysis of our lot. AT NO TIME WAS A CHANGE TO THE HOUSE EXTERIOR DISCUSSED. We reluctantly agreed to the steps. February 2018: Agreed to close on our home with the understanding that Viking would fix any remaining problems. During this time we discovered a gas leak from the garage heating unit.
When repaired, the heating contractor stated the original installer had not done a correct job & the leak could have lead to a fire/danger to anyone in the house. March 2018: Clearly stated that our home looked significantly different than any Tully depictions we had seen; we are both clearly disappointed that the red vinyl siding is no longer an "accent" but an enlarged red "barn" look. BOTTOM LINE: All we want is for Viking to make this right by adjusting vinyl siding on the front over the garage to approach the vision of the house we were sold & shown in JUNE 2017.
As a 30 year Army Veteran I thought the Viking commitment to "customer satisfaction & peace of mind" was an full/honest commitment to buyers - apparently not This is our planned retirement home. We have consistently cooperated with Viking during the bldg. process; we hope Viking will decide to do the same with my wife & I.
